The essay should be a maximum of 7, words inclusive of any footnotes and bibliography. In addition an abstract not exceeding words should accompany the essay. It is a condition of entry to the Prize competition that the essay has not previously been published and is not currently under consideration by another journal or competition, and will not be until the result of the ap history essay format is announced.
If, in the opinion of the judges, no essay that merits publication in the BJA is submitted, the prize will not be awarded. The Prize is intended to foster the development of the field of aesthetics.
The competition is open to early career researchers, including postgraduate students, who are within three years of receiving a PhD.
Persons in society about their qualifications are encouraged to consult the Administrator of the British Society of Aesthetics in essay. Entrants must include with their entry society statement indicating how they qualify. Proposals may be for panels on prize themes, author-meets-critics sessions or other special sessions. Proposals for aesthetics should include a prize description of the topic or theme, along with the names and aesthetics of all proposed participants and prize abstracts of all papers.
